Rhino.Inside.Autocad License

I’m having problems trying to initiate Rhino.Inside.Autocad 2025. Autocad says that I don’t have access to my license server on my company’s network. But… I already have both Rhino 7 and 8 open in my computer. My company has a license server like

nameofmycompany-lic-rhino

I can open the website nameofmycompany-lic-rhino/status and see that I have access to the server AND licenses of both rhino 7 and 8 assigned to me. I am on my network. I have tried opening a vpn server too. Inside of my network. I keep having access to licenses in Rhino 7 / 8, but not in Rhino.Inside.Autocad.

I have also tried to add Acad2025 to my firewall, but still not working.

Hi Pedro,

This sounds like something for your IT dept, it looks like the need to enable Autocad on Port 80 to allow Rhino to talk to the license server.

Hi!

I’m experiencing the same issue. I tried adding port 80 to the inbound rules as suggested, but it didn’t resolve the problem. This only occurs when launching Rhino 8 inside AutoCAD. Rhino 8 opens without any issues when run on its own, and I’ve been using Rhino 8 inside Revit for a long time without any problems accessing the license server.

Any help or suggestion?

Thank you in advance,

Best!

Jaime
