Rhino froze during Make2D – created .DMP, didn’t save the file

Hi,
I’m using Rhino 8 (Educational license) and my file froze while running the Make2D command on a heavy model. Unfortunately, I didn’t save the file beforehand.

To try and recover the file, I created a memory dump (.DMP) using Task Manager without closing Rhino. The file is about 373MB and saved from the process while Rhino was still open and stuck.

Can someone from McNeel support help me recover my unsaved model from this .DMP file?

Please let me know how I can securely share the file with you.

Thank you so much :folded_hands:

Hi @noy_baloul,

This is not possible, sorry.

My guess is Rhino was not “stuck” but busy computing the 2D curves. But you’re welcome to submit the memory dump for us to review.
