Rhino disappears when changing views via popup menu?

Not sure what is happening but for me this is rather problematic. Rhino disappears when changing views via popup menu??? This NEVER happened in R7!
To get Rhino 8 to re-appear I have to click on my desktop then on the Rhino alias in the Dock. When re-appeared some popup stays behind, can’t click it away. It disappears when I pan, rotate or zoom. But when I use the popup window in order to change the view, Rhino 8 vanishes again. I can repeat this!!
On other thing I noticed is that the popup menu feels glitchy, not stable? Again this was not the case in R7.
This is rather cumbersome because it slows down my workflow dramatically, I totally dependent on working with the popup menu (I have dyslexia).

I took screen shots in the order of the actions.

  • middle mouse button (wacom pen) — popup menu
  • clicking on button
  • Rhino 8 disappears
  • left click Desktop
  • left click Dock Rhino 8 app

yes that bug is still in there, also happens to me every now and then mostly after using icons and meddling with options or whatnot, not sure what causes it, i quickly cmd tab to a different app and return, that usually reinstates the current session.

Yes, the entire management of what “container” or window is in front is completely chaotic with the current ETO stuff - and also on the Windows side. I get floating toolbars appearing in front of open dialogs and occasionally the entire Rhino window going behind another app open like my browser.

@pgerritsen I could not reproduce that behavior following your steps. Does this happen to you in an empty file as well? If you have any more info on how to reproduce this, it would be helpful.
Also pls run _SystemInfo and post back the results, thanks

Hi Gijs thanks,

The file I was and I’m working on, is a file that was originally created in R7. So this file was not build up from the ground in R8!

Reopened the file today bud was not able to reproduce it?

If this occurs again I will make a screen recording, because if it happens I can definitely repeat it.

Bud here is the SystemInfo.
