Rhino 8 Wish: Vector Shadows for Make2D

I wish Rhino Make2D could export shadow contours based on sun position. ArchiCAD can do this:

It computes three key types of shadows: form shadow (green), cast shadow on self (red) and cast shadow on other objects (blue).

There have been various tries/requests for this, but none has been able to output all three types (mostly just the latter one):

Hey everyone, I was wondering whether there was a way to export shadows to a vector file. I know Archicad supports this and I found this plugin for SketchUp that creates surfaces for the projected shadows, so they won’t be lost when exporting the screen to a pdf. I make renderings in Illustrator and the ability to export vector shadows would be extremely useful. I looked into Penguin, but as far as I know it doesn’t support vector shadows, either. Just for inspiration, here is the result of my custom section tool: [image] It asks you to draw a line in top view, select the objects to section and then: adds a clippingplane, sets cplane to clippingplane, sets up a floating view, sets the display mode, captures the view, inserts the image, sections the objects with a curve, extracts the clipping geometry from the clipping plane, turn those surfaces into hatches and reorients all the data to top view and closes the floating viewport.
