Rhino 8 SR27 - The software became slow after the update

Hi,

I instaled the last service release, and the rhino 3d became extremely slow.

Normaly, when i change the view (like from top to perspective), or from shaded to artic, i have to wait almost a minute, and the file is only 359 mb.

It is possible to install the previous service release ?

Regards,

Sid

HI Sid -

Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste its output here.

Is changing the display mode the only thing that has become slow?

Sending a link in a PM.

It goes slow when :

- Opening files

- Changing display mode

- changing from a top view to a perspective view

The view turns black or freezes and takes almost a minute to return to normal in a 90 mb file, in a bigger file it takes more time. Rhino stops responding during this time.

If you want i can send you the rhino file in a private message ?

Hi Sid -

It doesn’t necessarily sound file related.

Both of these could use an update. I’d do a clean install, at least for the drivers for the GeForce.

Does the behavior change when these plug-ins are disabled and Rhino is restarted?
-wim

I updated the graphics drivers, disabled the plugins but the problem continues

This sounds like graphics pipeline issues. If you start Rhino in Safe Mode (via Windows Start) are things still slow?

There are a number ways the hybrid settings can be altered (typically gaming ‘helpers’)

Thank you for the advice.

I have the geforce rtx 3070 as the rhino 8 gpu preference. Only when i updated to sr27 the problem started.

The problem presists.

Hi Sid -

I sent you links to SR26 a few posts ago. Can you confirm that reverting to that service release fixes the issue for you?
-wim

No. Reverting doesn´t fixes the issue. Then i discovered i had a big mesh object to the project. Sorry, and thanks for your help.
