Rhino 8 - Printing does not respect the Layer Print Color

That’s pretty much it. Printing takes the color of the layer even if the layer print color in detail is set to black!

Any ideas how to solve it? Thanks N

I might be misinterpreting your description, in a test I did I don’t see the behavior you describe.
There are many places and ways to set colors, can you send a sample?

The same issue happens when you do ViewToFile from a technical view with PrintDisplay On.
The expectation would be that the view is exported but that is not the case.

Any ideas?

PS: While testing this I have noticed that, although the option seems to be there, it is not possible to change the Print Color (or thickness) only in Model Space.

PPS:
I have noticed on another instance of Rhino 8 that the option to change the width in model Space was not there. Luckily, I still had the other file open and I could capture a screen shot to be sure that I was not going crazy. However, when I went to the layout and back to model the option disappeared…

When I use the settings you showed with your file I get this in print preview:

Hi @Gijs i am also having the same problem, i’ve tried everything, but it does not work. I have been using rhino for years, but only started with rhino8 ricently, so don’t get what you’ve done here differently, why is it that you see the proper print color? thx in advance

I am seeing this. What is the print result you are getting?

The same, i have set the print color to black, apart from 2 layers, but it doesn’t respect the print color in the print preview

It looks you have set your curve’s printing color ‘by display’
