I truly hope that this is missing by accident and not by design. Any possibility to get this back? Open in Preview is a time saver when testing settings and so on. I would also prefer to use macOS system print dialog in general if possible.
We do not have plans to bring back the macOS system print dialog in Rhino.
It sounds like what you’re really missing here is a quick way of opening and previewing the PDF in macOS’s Preview app with two clicks (rather than using the Rhino PDF destination, clicking Print, Save as PDF, then opening in Preview.) Is that right? I wonder if we bring page that time-saver somehow in the new Print dialog.
This is exactly what I’m looking for! No extra clicks, no name picking for the file! And if the file is ok, you can always just save it from the Preview later on. Or even drag and drop it to third app.
Ok. Some of the web-browser has this “print using system print window…” button/link in their custom print windows, maybe this would be easier to implement in Rhino? This could be useful in Windows version too. Maybe worth checking out at least. Firefox has this… and Chrome, if I remember it correctly.
I would of course be really satisfied with just the Open in Preview functionality.
