Rhino 8 Mac Dimension text alignment tools

Hello,

I cannot find the dimension text centre alignment tool. I want the dimension text to be centred around the text grip.

Font

The text appearance.

  • Click to open the drop-down list, and type the initial letter of a font to find the font quickly.

  • Click the font control twice and scroll the mouse wheel to select a font with preview.

I cannot see the text alignment tools shown in this documentation link.

Hi Gary.

I think by default the dimension text sits above the line? So when drawn vertical it sits to the left?

I’m not currently at a computer so can’t confirm but if you go to annotation style and look for Dimension > Dimension Text you should be able to centre inline to the dimension line. You can also then control the text to be centred as well.

Best,

Stuart.

Stuart,

Thank you for your thoughts. I have been down that rabbit hole earlier, and it looks as though the option to centre on the text grip is available for annotation text, but not for dimension text.

I know that the text grip can be moved to shift. the text, but I was hoping that the text alignment told would be available.

Regards, Garry.

Is this what you are looking for?

Stuart,

Exactly. Thank you very much. There is always an answer.

Regards, Garry.
