Rhino 8 Horizontal Scrolling in Layer Menu

Hi,

Just upgraded from Rhino 6 to Rhino 8 and horizontal scrolling is not working anymore in the layer menu.
Could not find any setting to enable this.

Using Windows 11 pro and MX master 3s.
Also checked the settings of the mouse which are identical for both Rhino versions.

Any help would be much appreciated!

That sounds the same as this:

Scrolling between tabs in the toolbar doesn't work

I notice in V8 that I can no longer use my middle mouse scroll button to switch between tabs like I could in V7. Now I have to actually use the cursor to pick on a tab. I see this was mentioned before but it doesn’t look like it was fixed. This is a regression and hopefully gets addressed. Thanks, Dan

Just checked it out but you said the following:

“In previous versions of Rhino, when the number of layers doesn’t exceed the vertical space in the layers panel, using the scroll wheel will scroll horizontally to show columns that are not visible”

I meant scrolling with the dedicated thumb wheel which is solely used for horizontal scrolling.
So in Rhino 6 it doesn’t matter how many layers there are, horizontal scrolling is always possible with the thumb wheel.

That does not take away what you tested, but possibly makes it into to similar issues.

Sound similar but not identical since I never mentioned scrolling through tabs.
Just scrolling horizontal with the wheel to see the different layer categories and names instead of clicking and moving the scroll bar manually.
