Selection menu regression in Rhino 8 and 9

I had another post where I was complaining that I couldn’t scroll across the tabs in Rhino 8 and 9. I discovered that the mouse setting “Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them” was preventing the scrolling from working.

However, there was a reason I had that off in Rhino 7. With that setting off you don’t have to have the cursor over the selection menu to scroll through it. Like this:

So without having to move my cursor onto the selection window, I can scroll up and down the list and use the RMB to select. This only works with “Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them” turned off. And in Rhino 7 I can still scroll across the tabs with that setting off.

In Rhino 8 (and 9) it’s now one or the other. With that setting off I can scroll across the tabs but I can’t scroll the selection window without having the cursor focus on it. With that setting on I can scroll the tabs but not the selection window. It’s now one or the other, whereas Rhino 7 allowed both.

This seems like a regression to me.

Thanks,

Dan

Just bumping this back up to the top. It was probably a bad idea posting on July 4th.

Thanks,
