I’m linking here a post I’ve made today about the layers panel, sorry but in my preliminary search I could not find this one.

Wish: Layer Panel features

I’d like to propose a few features/options that could improve the experience when working with the layer panel: Option to freeze the Layer column display (similar to “freeze panes” in Excel): this way, one could scroll back and forth the columns without losing sight of the corresponding layer (maybe the option is there already? I just could not find it anywhere…). I’m aware one could customize the column display (which columns and in which order), but oftentimes it is more useful to quickly s…

I know there are overlaps (like a request for icons, I’ve seen it’s been proposed already here), which means I’m not the only one to feel the same need.

PS: n. 1 item in my wishlist would work even better if horizontal scrolling gets fixed (it still doesn’t work on Windows v. 8.12.24282.7001

This has already been logged wish (a few time actually.)
Here is the latest: RH-76879

This a dependent on ETO control for the Mac.
As you know, Rhino is developed cross platform so when the future is added, it is available in both Windows and Mac.

Hi

It would be nice to expose Layer UserText directly inside of Layers Panel, I guess it is planned feature, but here is a proposal how it may looks like:

It would help a lot to organize BIM project layers, set project levels, floor heights, layers relationships etc.

Also it would improve interaction abilities between Rhino and Gh, since it could run some scripts on layers userText change.
