Rhino 8 Crashes on startup. Rhino 7 Plugin issue?

Every time I try to Launch Rhino8 from a specific machine, it crashes on the “Preparing Plugins for First Use” Prompt and tries loading a Rhino 7 Fologram plugin.

Rhino 8 launches fine in safe mode. My video drivers are up to date too. Is this an issue with the fologram plugin? I tried looking for it in both Rhino 8’s files and the plugin manager in the safe mode, but I can’t seem to locate it. Is there perhaps another issue or some way to disable external plugins?

Rhino plugins that do not ship with Rhino

Rhino plugins that ship with Rhino
C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\Plug-ins\Commands.rhp “Commands” 8.0.23304.9001
C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\Plug-ins\rdk.rhp “Renderer Development Kit”
C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\Plug-ins\Toolbars\Toolbars.rhp “Toolbars” 8.0.23304.9001

Fixed. V-ray and Fologram were crashing Rhino 8.

Since I have Rhino 7 installed as well to run certain plugins, Rhino 8 was attempting to load those plugins as well. Forcefully uninstalling them by using Rhino 7 to locate the plugin files resolved this issue

your video card driver looks hosed… is this systeminfo from safe mode? That info should be all filled in not Null or N/A

System info is from safemode. It was the only way I could get Rhino to stay open for longer than 2 seconds.

I did determine it was a plugin issue, as Rhino 8 was by default loading plugins from Rhino 7.

got it, that is what I assumed, but wanted to make sure.

Hi @김현태
That shouldn’t be happening. Would you mind if I got some more information via email (support@fologram.com) or DM? We’d like to work out what caused this to begin with so it doesn’t happen to anyone else

Cheers
