Rhino 8 crash all revit version

Hello there, I am experiencing continuous CTD with any revit version, Rhino 8 and grasshopper opening.
When I try to open Grasshopper, it doesn’t go past 4% load (Ghpython) and then CTD.

How can I send/find a log ? My inch is that it’s connected to a conflict between package manager and RIR grasshopper.

Does Rhino Inside Revit install those packages somewhere else than here ?

I remember conversations about problems with package manager and RIR ?

Is this in Revit 2025 or any version? Revit 2025 will only run in .NetCore8, any previous version is in .netframework, which is what a lot of older plugins require.

That is where Rhino 8 installed packages go. If you have manually installed Gh plugins they are typically here… C:\Users\ YOUR USER NAME \AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries

Were you just agreeing that typical install happens in
C:\Users\name\Appdata\Roaming\Mcnell\Rhinoceros\packages\8.0\ ?

Could there be a conflict somewhere with another possible location specific to RIR ?

So I tried to uninstall all packages and I still got a crash.

It’s all versions of Revit. Should I at least get a notification if it crashes because of incompatible libraries ?

Lets start with this.

1.Close Rhino
2. Delete the entire folder. C:\Users\name\Appdata\Roaming\Mcnell\Rhinoceros\packages\8.0\
3. Restart Rhino.
4. Run the Reset command
5. Restart Rhino

Still didn’t work, should I restart my computer too ? I uninstalled everything that seemed supicious.

So opening Rhino on it own is crashed in package manager?

Is there a crash report being generated?

Ohh, no we are only talking about RIR with rhino 8, everything is fine with everything else.

Do you get an a chance to send in a RiR crash report?

Does Rhino.Inside - Revit load enough to get to the ribbon? If so use the Cntl+Shift method to start a new instance with no other addins.

I tried loading without any plugin like you mentioned, no CTD but freeze this time

And this

Just sent you guys the report it generated.

Found it, the reason was https://www.food4rhino.com/en/app/fennec#downloads_list

I could have used a notification for the failure…

Good to hear. If we could easily report the conflict we would.
