Hi,

That missing vcruntime DLL is distributed by Microsoft as part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable tools.

Repair the x86 & x64 runtimes, then repair Rhino.

Thank you for your reply but i did run the VC_redist.x64.exe. And the installation is cleaned. I reinstalled from scratch Rhino but with the same error 200. I do have a proper license. I don’t understand

Try running the microsoft .net repair tool

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135

I did too. Everything is fine from .NET Framework Version: 4.8.1

What can i show you to prove the status of the os?

These dot net issues can be pretty tricky. This one is pretty widespread and typically related to the 2015 redistributable. It sounds like you’ve taken the correct steps to resolve, check out some of the links in that search and see if you missed anything.

Rhino 8.29 crashes on every startup with error -200 (cannot talk to license manager).

What I already tried:

  • SFC and DISM → no issues found

  • Deleted License Manager cache (%APPDATA%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0\License Manager)

  • Uninstalled all ASUS ArmouryCrate services

  • Repaired VC++ 2022 Redistributable x64 (14.50.35719)

  • Rhino /safemode → same error

  • Network connectivity to licensing.rhino3d.com:443 → OK

The DLL appears to be unloaded before Rhino finishes using it. Is there a known fix?

Report.wer.txt (39.4 KB)

Known fixes are to repair the Microsoft Redistributables, then the .net repair tool and repair Rhino. Which you’ve done. I assume you are up to date on windows updates and are doing this with any virus protection disabled??

"Yes, Windows Defender real-time protection was disabled. Windows is fully up to date (Build 26200). Now it function thanks to the cmd: ….rhino.exe /netfx
