License manager failed to initialize - error 200 - Rhino 7.15 Trial

Hi there,
I downloaded Rhino in December, installed it with the trial code and it has worked wtihout errors. In February i want to start it again but it failed to open with an error message from the license manager.
“failed to initialize license manager … error 200”
things i tried:
Repairing the installation (as mentioned in some threads).
complete deinstall, redownload and new install (with multiple pc restarts).
still the same error.
there is neither Revit nor VRAY installed
any ideas?

Make sure that there are no pending updates for your Windows installation.
Apart from that, here are two more suggestions:

I’ve tried the windows repair toolkit- repaired rhino 7 and even uninstalled and re-installed. No luck, same error message as above. Any other possible fixes??? I’m using windows bootcamp if that makes a difference… thank you!!

The developers tell me this is because the Windows .NET tools on that computer are damaged.

Here’s a link to Microsoft’s fixer:

Run the fixer tool, then run the Rhino installer again.
If asked, choose the “Repair” option.

Hi! No luck even after several attempts with the the .NET repair tool, all drivers updated. ran repair and re-install of rhino 7 several times. Wondering if there is a larger issue with my OS? Or if there is some other work around? Thanks again!

For me it was a problem with the windows update image.
This was the solution for me:

its in german
TLDR:
open command prompt with admin rights
type: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
when finished
type: sfc /scannow
if it says 100% - Run a windows update again
