If you see anything glaringly obvious that I need to changes please let me know. I just had the computer made so it can handle rhino and I am not technically savvy at all..

Any help or advice/ things I should check please let me know.

Thank you in advance

A little bit of searching revealed this link:

Are you aware of ReBAR? Is it enabled?

I’m not an Intel ARC user, preferring Nvidia instead, but this seems like its important.
I also suggest you check to see whether you have the very latest Intel driver for this card.

Perhaps @stevebaer , @nathanletwory or @jeff have some thoughts on how well this Intel ARC card works with Rhino 7.

Your video drivers are not absolutely-up-to-date, that’s going to be your only chance of a not terrible experience. You may need to back off on the OpenGl features in the View Options.

Nvidia is the only card maker that even pretends to give a crap about OpenGL drivers, no one actually cares about this market anymore it’s just games and “AI,” which is why Rhino is in the progress of switching to Direct3D for V9.

I don’t have a lot of experience with the Intel Arc GPUs, but I would also like to try and understand the cause of the crash first before providing any sort of advice.

Have you sent in any crash reports with your email address associated with it? I can’t find any in our database. That may help us better understand where the crash is coming from.

When Rhino crashes hopefully you are presented with a dialog to let you send in a crash report. Are you seeing this?

FYI:

When this was happening, Rhino would hard crash, with no report. Obviously this was a while ago. Assuming there is only still one person with an Arc GPU at McNeel, I’m not sure how this can be solved.
