Rhino 7.8 Crashing when Trimming

Hi, Rhino 7.8 is crashing repeatedly when Trimming.
If I draw a horizontal rectangle, then extrude it upwards, then draw a line accross it in the front viewport, then try to trim it…It crashes.

If I use Split…it works fine.

It has only been happening today.

Or more specifically

Hi @nathanletwory ,
just to know, which is the recommended procedure to switch from SRC to the official SR?
The options that come in mind are:

  • use Windows restore point?
  • download the SR manually and install over SRC?
  • select SR in Rhino options and wait until automatic update download the SR?
  • uninstall Rhino and install from the last release on McNeel site (after that installing last SR)?

Latest release on our site is also the latest SR.

Ok, so, to solve problems with SRC the recommended way is to uninstall Rhino and install with latest release?
I ask it because I can’t find an answer from McNeel team to know how to manage a “downgrade” from SRC to SR (this would be useful also for the future).

Hello, I also experienced this problem, lucilly I’m not the only one.

please advise how to downgrade to the previous update, while there is work to do.

  • uninstall current SRC
  • download latest release
  • install

a little bit more explanation is much appreciated:

-How do you uninstall the current SRC?
-Where to download the right release, assuming the latest causes this trouble. (a link is helpfull)
-how to install? (think I know that one, but there are users of Rhino which are users only)

thanks

Regular uninstall via Windows. Settings > Apps. Type Rhino and select Rhino 7. Click Uninstall.

https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-windows/7/latest

Run the installer you downloaded.
