Rhino 6. Text changes to bold

Hi
Every time I save a Rhino V6 file in iMac, two layout sheets change the text font to bold.
One other layout sheet, which is the one I copied it from originally, doesn’t and it stays as it should be (some text normal, other texts bold).

Please help as it will cost me so much time to change it all the time. Thanks!

Hi Tanja -

Could you please post a simple file that behaves like this? You could make a copy of the file and delete all geometry except for some text on 3 layouts, perhaps?

Hi Wim

Thank you for your email.

Please find 2 layout sheets in dwg attached.

The first layout shows how it is meant to look - heading bold and in a separate text box (as I don’t know how otherwise to get bold separate to another normal font style).
The second layout should look the same but doesn’t every time I open the file - everything goes to bold.

Thanks for your assistance with this.

Kind Regards

Hi Tanja -
I’m having problems reproducing this. First of all, you are using a font that is not standard and so I had to go and find and install that font - that might be part of why I don’t see what you are seeing.

Then, when I check the file, the 2 first lines on both layouts are bold. When I make them regular on both layouts, save, exit, and reopen the file, both lines on both layouts are back to bold. That is, there is no difference in behavior between those two layouts - both are equally buggy.

When I open that file in Rhino 7, I am told that both the regular and bold (and others) versions of that font are not found - clearly you have a somewhat different version of that font installed.

When I then change the font in that style to Arial, make the 2nd line regular on both layouts, save, exit, and reopen, all is at it should be. That means that this is a font-specific issue involving a font that is not standard. I would recommend using a standard font instead.

In the text edit box, you can select parts of the text and make only that selection bold:
