Rhino 6 Student License Key Activation Loop Problem

I am having trouble trying to run Rhino6 with my newly purchased Student License.

When I run my Rhino6, it asks me to Login as My Account. I press yes, and it opens my Web Browser and it prompts me to Allow rhino to access certain information. I press ALLOW and then it says " Login completed. Please go back to Rhino. " When I go back to check on if my Rhino6 has opened it is still loading and a second pop-up window opens up asking to Login as My Account, or Logout, Enter License key, use the Zoo, or Buy a License. My account already has the license key entered, but I go ahead and choose the “Enter your license key” option and enter my license key number. I add the license to my account and then I get this message " License added successfully. Please go back to Rhino. " I go back to my desktop but my Rhino6 is still loading asking me to Log in again and it just seems like I’m stuck in a “loop”.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Rhino6 and it still gives me the same messages. I do not know what to do. I attached some screenshots to see if they can help in any way. I attached some screenshots down below to see if they can help. My account already got charged the student fee and it is still not working.

Hi - did you get this sorted? If not, please contact sales@mcneel.com directly.

Thank you, I will try this.

@wim

Thank you for your recomendation, I was able to resolve my issue .

Could you reply how you resolved this issue? Was it by contacting mcneel, or did you figure out a solution?

I am in the same loop of despair.

Hi Tamarah -

We are now 3 years later and the problem is likely to be something else. Which version (major and SR) did you install?

Hi everyone,

I had this issue too and it drove me crazy. Luckily I found a solution and I hope it will be helpful, First of all, log out form your Rhino account in your browser then delete these folder in your computer:

・C:\ProgramData\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager
・C:\Users\“your user name”\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager
・C:\Users\“your user name”\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\7.0\ra_cache.txt (if you have).

Those folders are hidden so make sure to show all the hidden documents in your windows settings. Finally log in again and voila!

Here is the same information in a slightly different format

  1. Use your Windows file Explorer and browse to:
    %appdata%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager\Licenses*

  2. Delete everything in that folder

  3. Browse to:
    %programdata%\McNeel\Rhinoceros\6.0\License Manager\Licenses

  4. Delete everything in that folder

  5. Start Rhino and login again
