I installed Rhino 4 SR6 from my original CD and it loads and runs on my Windows 11 system. “Check for updates” works and says I should download SR8 but the download link does not work. How/where can I download Rhino 4 SR9?
Rhino 4 was the first version of Rhino I used. I currently use Rhino 5, Rhino 6, Rhino 7 and Rhino 8 installed so decided to install Rhino 4 also. The primary reason for installing Rhino 4 is occassionally I’m interested in the history of commands and similar.
Well, if Rhino 1.0 will run on my Windows 10 and 11 machines, I’m sure it’s possible to get V4 running… Unfortunately I seem to have lost my V4 NFR license key. I have 1.0, 1.1, 2, 3, 5 Win/Mac, 6, 7 and 8… but not 4.
The information in that link appears to be not entirely applicable to Rhino 4 under Windows 11.
Rhino 4 does not appear to be running in compatibility mode. Changes to toolbars and settings are saved.
The current display resolution is 3840 x 2160 with 150% scale. These are the same settings I use with later versions of Rhino including Rhino 8. The icons are smaller than in Rhino 8 but are legible. The layer panel is populated (not blank).
