Rh8 stealing the bandwidth and other problems

I know it’s been reported before.
I’m on the trip to discover the new features of Rhino 8 and I am experiencing some problems.

First: whenever I manipulate the views or do something more complex than drawing the curve, I experience the breaks in music streaming.
My internet connection is not bad at all even with several tabs open:

Second: blurry icons. Graphic driver updated few days ago.

Third: G2 and it’s learning curve

How do I set the blending properties to tangency? It requires knowledge from G1 and inserting new panel with appropriate value. More work, less clear. Am I missing something obvious here? What’s happened with blending through point?
Right click doesn’t offer help as well. I guess it’s a long road ahead before I fully transition to V8 (let alone my team).

Four: viewport stutters quite often with no smooth rotation of few basic elements.
I have also witnessed layer panel opening ca. 10 sec and there are two layers in my file only.

I know my machine is old and it’s MBP but it doesn’t justify all of it.

Are you sure there are no newer drivers available? Or are you just restricted by when such drivers are available for Apple hardware running Windows? Bootcamp, right? Not sure how well tested that is these days.

I had some update recently. I’m surprised there is no evidence of it, but, at least, you can see there is nothing new available.

Are there no newer drivers directly from https://www.amd.com/en/support ?

The digital world is very confusing.
According to the AMD panel I own this card:

and the latest driver installed is from 2023-07-28, but according to the AMD webpage the most recent driveris two years old.

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You’d pick the adrenalin edition, which is the most current driver. But then again, this is a bootcamped laptop, correct? So this is a Radeon Pro 560X which was created specifically for Apple hardware.

V7 has no such problems. It is very stable and reliable. It only crashes when I do some rendering-related stuff but this is where you would expect this kind of issues (Apple card running on bootcamp).

I’m not sure how well one should expect drawing performance to work on such a system. @stevebaer or @jeff probably can give a better insight here of what to expect.
