Resizing many objects to the same size

I have reported this a few years ago, but I wanted see if possible this being fixed in the near future.

It just seems that a regression like this should have been fixed by now.

To recap the issue:
Basically If I want to resize a bunch of different objects of varying sizes to the same size is there anyway of doing this like we could in Version 7. This all worked in the correctly in BoxEdit originally.

Example: I have 50 boxes of varying heights that I want to make sure they are all 20cm tall. I should be able to select those boxes and input a desired height so they are all adjusted to 20cm tall without selecting each one and resizing them individually.

I see that this has been pushed to 8v and then to future… But I feel a regression would have received more love that it has 2 years later. I have written a python script for now that takes care of this bug, but hope this could be fixed as native function within rhino as it once was.

i agree, i can remember this becoming an issue, the tracker also reports that it was fixed a long long time ago and at some point it came back.

perfect example why i keep using less and less tools in rhino and try to do most of them with the basics as well as i can. box edit was a nice tool when it was introduced and still worked. till it broke. i am not using it for a long long time now either.

maybe @stevebaer has some time to check this? i saw him offering new goodies which i am happy about, but this also seems important.
