Resize a specific amount with Gumball

Simple question. I have a rectangular object 14" long. I want to make it 18". I thought I could use the axis Scale, but that scales in multiples. e.g. 2 multiplies the length by 2 making it 28". I’d like it to resize it by 2" on each size. Can this information be be entered in gumball?

use scale1d instead and use command line input r2 (relative 2 units) to do your scale.

Hello - click on the gumball handle and in the number field type in the number you want, with the units included: 2" or 2mm and Enter.
To scale by an increment, use + or - and the number and the units:

+2mm or -2"
