Rendered View by accident

Hey guys,

Does anyone else have the same problem? I’m using Rhino7 on Win10 and I usually work a lot with different views that I have saved in advance. To change between them, I click on the small arrow in perspective viewport and select ‘set view’.
And here’s the problem: sometimes Rhino automatically “clicks” on e.g. ‘Rendered View’ or Raytraced’’ although I haven’t really selected anything yet. It seems like this only happens because it’s laggy. But I have also experienced it in very small scenes where I don’t recognize any lags at all. In larger scenes this can be a huge problem because it causes a crash. I have already added the ‘Named Views’ panel into the tool set on the right handside but somehow this is also quite slow.
Has anyone else ever had the same issue?

Hi - please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.

Do you have that one showing a list or thumbnails?

Thank you for your quick response. I changed it to list in order to make it faster. Might be the solution although it still bothers me that it sometimes magically jumped to rendered view when I only wanted to change my camera…

I understand that. It sounds like there’s something lagging on your machine, hence me asking about your SystemInfo data. Have you tried working with a different mouse for a while?

Hi Wim,
I often use Rendered View for texture mapping and do that in isolation as my scenes are often heavy. Sometimes as a reflex I cancel the isolation before changing to i.e. Shaded View and the program crashes at that point. Is there a way to prevent this? Like a prompt asking for confirmation or so?
