Relationship between offset and scale

I am currently working on a Voronoi tesselated surface (done through a mapping) and it does not work with an offset. Therefore, I have resorted to scaling the Voronoi cells. However, I would like to have a constant offset of the geometry, X. What would the scale factor from the centroid be to achieve a constant offset given the differences in size of cells.


A scale will not replace an offset! You could use a scale proportional to the area of polygon or to its perimeter/length …
The main advantage of scale is that you keep the same number of points on polygon so it is easier to mesh, loft, sweep … Scale is also more reliable than Rhino offset. For polyline you could use clipper for offseting that is very reliable.
