Rectangular lights change their properties when open in another computer

Hi,

I am using Rhino 8 and I am having issues with the rectangular lights since they keep changing their properties(color/shape) whenever I open the file on another desktop.
It’s fine when I keep working on one computer, but when the same file is opened on a different computer, the shape and color of the rectangular lights suddenly change.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

We would need to see some sort of example. Rendering with what, what do you mean by “rectangular light,” etc.

Perhaps share a simple file with such a rectangular light and say a box. Also post a screenshot of it and its properties so we can see if those change when we open your file in our Rhino 8.

The lights are like this in the original file,

but it looks like this in another desktop

Also the properties change like this

just posted the images below!

I meant a 3dm file that we can open on our machines to see if the change happens as well.

LIGHTS ONLY.3dm (3.3 MB)

I opened this with Rhino 8.14 on a MacBook Pro M2 Max. As far as I can tell it opens the same as on your screenshots:

Your file is created with Rhino 8.6, perhaps time to update to at least 8.12 which is the current newest service release (or the current service release candidate 8.13). When opening the files between the different machines, do these have the same plug-ins installed as the machine the file is created on? I can see at least Enscape being used.

Yes I am using enscape for renderings. The Rhino version was the same, but there was a Vray plug-in installed in the second computer, so I deleted that, and it looks fine now. Thank you!
