Hello everybody, would love to learn from all of you masters. Ive been trying to figure out a way to generate a similar pattern to this but to introduce triangles into this instead of cube like pattern. And is this pattern grasshopper generated? Because it seems like there are meta-units involved.
looks like this pattern has some fixed-geometries in the shape of the yellow flowers (like you already indicated in your sketch), and those are a sort of “main background tiling” that is just repeated over and over without any modification
then you have those sort of “inside-tiles”, which in real are like two variations, and their mirrors, represented in red in shapes that more resemble a S or a 2
each “zig-zag vertical row” looks like it’s the very same group of geometries, just rotated 60°, so I just took as visual reference the S/2 to divide the space into bigger 8-shaped groups:
