I noticed in SR4 that the MRU toolbar no longer duplicates icons when you pick from the toolbar. That’s a step in the right direction. However, there are still two issues that make it worse than previous releases:
- If you select an icon from your regular toolbar collection it will add it to the MRU even if it’s already there. This shouldn’t happen or you end up with something like this:
There’s no logical reason the user would want the same icon showing up multiple times in the MRU toolbar.
- When you select an icon from the MRU toolbar that icon moves to the top (or start, if it’s docked horizontal) for some reason. That means that this toolbar will be in a constant state of change. So the idea of being able to have the MRU build from a process, then repeat the process from the MRU will be way more challenging as the order of the icons will constantly be changing with every pick.
