Recently Used Toolbar for typed commands

I very much like the Recently Used Toolbar for obvious reasons. I have one request that I think would make it better. The toolbar doesn’t capture commands that I type into the Command panel. Many times, I can think of a command’s text or partial text. I type the command that first time and proceed. Later, I may need to reuse that command, so I type the command again. I know about Command History, but typing requires keyboard interaction unlike a button mouse click.

It would be nice if the button associated with a command typed and executed from the Command panel be added to the RU Toolbar buttons. Would it be possible for this to be added to the RU Toolbar? Maybe it already is available as an option setting?

Hi Habudg -

On Windows, you can right-click to get the list of recently run commands.

Good point. I’ll have to get into the habit of using that. Still, it seems logical, at least to me, to capture the recently used commands to the RU Toolbar. It would improve workflow by minimizing mouse movement to different screen areas. It would also help with learning the buttons associated with the commands.
