Recent update messed up line scale?

For example for dashed lines, there is no way I can make my layout print what I am seeing in the viewport.

Hi Shynn Sup,

Not aware of any recent changes/bug reports in this regard.

Please run SystemInfo in the Rhino command line and post the results. A small example of the issue would be helpful as well. Thanks

Hi

I do this:

  1. Open Rhino in Meters.
  2. Create line 100 meters high.
  3. Set line type = Hidden
  4. Set linet type scale = 2000

Viewport looks like this:

Now in layout

  1. Create Layout A3.

It looks like this:

Print: Match Pattern Definition:

Print: Match Viewport Display

So both options look nothing like the viewport.

Now, the last setting to tweak:

Go to linetypes > hidden > check ‘use model settings’

The line becomes not dashed at all. Whats worse, it displays differently or maybe correctly depending on zoom level. Check video.

I remember having to check ‘use model settings’, that way the layout display would match the display in the viewport. I also printed with “match viewport display” option.

But after the update this is not longer working. I can’t get to print what I am seeing in the viewport.

What version were you using and what version are you on now?

I’m recreating per you post but can you also post the file? Thanks

Does this file work for you?

Yes this works as expected.

But I noticed you changed the linetype scale to 2000 units in the properties of the object.

The result should be the same as changing the model linetypescale to 2000 and setting the line type to use that.
