Raytracing

Hi Guys, sometimes my raytracing is really quick and sometimes it goes really slow. Its the same model both times with the same layers visible so I’m not sure what’s causing this?
Many thanks

Hello - the number of samples to render does not change? Is lighting the same (skylight for example)?

-Pascal

Hi Pascal. Yes all factors are the same

Can you post or send us the model, to tech@mcneel.com? Please include a link back to this topic in your comments.

-Pascal

Today raytracing has been faster, the issue now is I can’t view my model in the ‘pen’ view without it crashing  I will email over the model.

Hello -

Please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.

Hello - please disable Vray and Enscape in Options > Plug-ins page then close and reopen Rhino - does that make any difference?

I don’t think it has helped unfortunately. However, I exported the layers of the model I needed to capture in the pen view and it works in a separate file.
