Persistent issue, importing dxf and dwg from Revit and Cad, I also get a material per layer / color:
Sometimes if I already have loads of lazy materials like ‘Custom 1’, ‘Custom 2’ etc., it gets confusing.
Anyway to block this?
They always seem to share this property:
No maps, but bump always set to 30%

Are you able to reproduce this behavior?
Seems materials are set by layer, so select all, set material to default and the purge may work, however, not if these are within blocks, as lots of aCad stuff is. Have been noticing this for a while, i remember it happened first time about last year, November, was some part of the dxf/dwg import process rewritten?
Possible to have an additional option on dwg /dxf import, import materials?
