[R8 Regression] Grasshopper baked objects slowing down performance

Hi,

I think the video is quite self-explanatory.

Below is the attached file.

Way to replicate the bug:

  1. use my file to bake the curves,
  2. make a block of all the baked curves.
  3. double click to enter the block edit mode
  4. exiting the block edit mode by closing the block edit window
  5. the issue would appear.

I also notice other instances with similar issue but this is the only instance where I can isolate the geometry and replicate the bug consistently.

FYI:
I also notice a weird blink upon selecting these objects. It happens at 0:09 in the video.
This is not consistent with how other objects are selected.

I’m not able to repeat in our latest daily build (8.18)

Please run SystemInfo and post the results.

Do you know the previous version that didn’t have the behavior?

I just tried using safe mode and i couldn’t replicate the behavior.

Start by disabling the active 3rd party plugins.

The other aspect that Safe Mode disables is the Video Driver.
