Question on wind velocity along height on a outdoor case

Hi Eddy team,

Thanks for the great tool. Super exciting and promising.

I would like to ask a question for a outdoor case. I did a test case with the tool and then did a section along the height. The velocity profile shown below seems a bit strange to me, especially the high wind velocity zone near the ground.

My guess is that this may be something related to meshing or turbulence model. I have 5m block size with the ground accuracy level set to 3. Layer was left as 4. Using realizableKE model for the case. Also, is there any option to set roughness of ground somehow?

Hi Bing,

Yes this looks like there should be more layers or ground refinement. Be careful with layers, they require an extremely clean mesh for your case to converge.

Yes, you can set z0 with the boundary conditions components
