Query elements by the room

Hi All,

I am new to Rhino.Inside®.Revit.

I have modeled a house and it contains the common fixtures elements, I am wondering if there is a way to get the elements by the room. For instance, I have this “Kitchen” as a room, and I want to query the split AC (mechanical fixtures), the lamps (lighting fixtures), the sink (plumping fixtures), doors, windows… etc, that exist only in the kitchen room

I want to get all the fixtures in the kitchen

Hi Moad, welcome.

I changed the forum topic to Rhino.Inside - Revit (Rhino.Inside is a general category)

You are in luck, this was a recent question on the forum.

Hi @Japhy

Thank you for your reply!

However, it seems there might have been a misunderstanding. In the script you provided, it’s required to first locate the fixtures and then the room will be shown. But what I’m actually looking for is the ability to select a room and then find all the fixtures contained within it. Is there a different approach or script that would allow me to achieve this?

Its recommended that you filter by the Categories you are looking to gather then use the Component Neighbors (room calculation points) and then organize by Room.
