Anyone else has got this problem?? i’ve lost all of my scripts…

And, whats does the second image mean??

I think it is R8 vs R9 WIP problem.

Thank! it’s been a completely mess… all of my python3 components have disappeared… i’ve lost a huge ammount of work

You should probably let @eirannejad know. Sounds like a potentially serious issue.

thanks for answering… It deletes directly the component

don’t know if there are other cases like mine, any idea @Gijs @eirannejad ??

Thanks in advance

sorry, forgot it… i was a bit stressed!

Hi, if you haven’t saved the .gh fle it shouldn’t have changed or deleted anything.

It looks to me like the second window is offering to convert your Rhino 8 Python components into Rhino 9 format. However it is warning you that after conversion, they’ll no longer be usable in Rhino 8, should you uninstall Rhino 9, and reinstall Rhino 8. Personally I’d recommend backing up your Rhino 8 .gh files, but presumably there is lots of confidence in the conversion process.

Have you got a non-critical example file to test this conversion on, or does that need uninstalling Rhino 9 and installing Rhino 8?

Or just make a copy of your file in File Explorer, and try the conversion on that?

it keeps deleting my phyton components… no idea

not sure how time-stressed you are , but if it is critical, you can also call/email mcneel > Rhino - Contact Us
