Problem with Rhino 8 Revit 2024

Hello there, since last update, Bullant throws an error when opened in Rhino 8 and Revit 2024. Has it been reported before ?

Hi Thomas,
Sorry for the problem. It’s a strange one, I don’t get that here. Out of interest, do you use separate settings for rhino inside? If you are willing to opt out of this.

If you have accepted the EULA from Rhino outside of revit, it shouldn’t try to load the form that is causing this. If you require separate settings, then you might have to manually copy the settings from normal rhino.

It’s a strange report, in that this is referring to eto forms that should be available. It might require some suggestion from someone at McNeel if EULA acceptance doesn’t prevent the issue.

Did Grasshopper open and was rhino invisible when you opened it @thomas.lagarde ?

Based on a suggestion from Callum, I have uploaded a new build that might avoid this issue.
If the plugin updates, let me know if it still persists. It would be helpful to understand the sequence of starting rhino inside (or grasshopper) so that I can try to replicate it.

Well I think I updated to the latest version but the problem is still there, Rhino 8 and 7.
Here’s what I got:

Unfortunately for reasons not known to me, Rhino at times continues to load old versions of our plugins after updating with Yak. Refer to Yak issue switching versions - Rhino Developer / Yak - McNeel Forum

You can manually purge the old builds as per Common Installation Issues | Geometry Gym and see if that improves the situation.

I manually uninstalled everything, big crashes of Rhino inside Revit after that.
I tried to reinstall through the package manager

But still huge crashes…
I will have to fully reinstall Rhino inside Revit…

@thomas.lagarde are you installing Bullant from within RiR?
If so I’d try installing from just Rhino, and then reopening to make sure you’ve accepted the EULA etc.

Yeah that’s probably the problem. The page did appear this time, after a full reinstall. I still had to click this agreement page inside Revit for each Revit version (2024, 2023, 2022)
It’s definitely what caused the problem. It also messed up Tunny, a generative component (maybe related, maybe not)
I know it only happens in Rhino inside Revit but I think it still would benefit from a disclaimer. Solution (Full deinstall, Reinstall, accept the agreement on each Revit session)

Is everything working now @thomas.lagarde ?

I’ve not used the Package Manager much whilst running RiR, but when you’re running RiR you’re running a quite complex tech stack, and making changes to any of the items within it, will likely always go smoother when updating them separately. i.e Update Rhino packages running just Rhino, and update Revit or Revit Plugins without Rhino running inside Revit.

It’s running but that was a scary experience.
A big disclaimer would help.

Thanks
