Problem Rendering Surfaces and polysurfaces

Hi-
Something weird is happening in shaded, artic, ad render mode. Surfaces show up incomplete, even though rhino recognizes them as closed poly surfaces or closed surfaces. If I start a new document, I can have it show correctly, but if I copy and paste it into my other document it gets messed up. If I copy and paste from my working document into a new document, it pastes the mess up! Any ideas? I’m not keen on redoing it. I’ve saved down to rhino 6 and tried on two other computers.

Hi Paige -
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.

How far are the objects from the world origin? Are you using a geographical coordinate system?

They are very far from World ‘0’ but I’ve moved my cplane to be more useful.

Hi Paige -

Running Rhino on virtualization systems such as VMware is not supported.

That doesn’t help. You need to move the geometry to the world origin.

… and that’s a rather old version of Rhino 7.
