Yes, it is a surface, but it does not act as a surface when I use other modes to look at it. Please help me; I am so tired. If you want me to share the file, I can do it.

There are 30 surfaces visible when I open that file but I take it that you are talking about this one:
If you zoom in on the “valley” on the right side, you will see that the border is self-intersecting:
Once you fix that border curve and create a new surface it will shade correctly.
