Nearly every time I print a set of layouts to PDF I get quality issues with objects displayed in perspective detail views. I have attached some screenshots that show what I am talking about. Corners of some of the objects look like the are sliced off. This happens when using the Adobe PDF printer AND the Foxit PDF printer. I am unsure if more than just these two 3rd party printers also cause the issue.
The workaround is to use the Rhino PDF printer for the specific pages as it does not have this issue BUT the Rhino PDF printer generates PDFs that are often triple the file size of the Adobe, Foxit or other 3rd party printers.
The problem occurs when printing a single layout and when printing multiple layouts at the same time.
I have been dealing with this problem for a couple years now but realized I never started a thread about it.
As we can’t fix problems with other company’s software, I take it that the problem that is reported in this thread is the file size? Lowering the resolution should reduce the file size. Do you find that not being the case? If file size vs. quality is a big enough issue, perhaps you could take a look at VisualARQ that has a display mode that outputs shaded vector?

I tried hiding all objects in model space except the one I want to feature in the detail, and also moved the object very near to 0,0,0 and the issue still persists. This is a strange one.
