PrintDisplay in model space

Hello!
When in model space, PrintDisplay shows the line thicknesses according to the ‘print width’ setting. However, the width remains constant regardless of the viewport zoom. The parameter ‘width’ of the PrintDisplay command defines it.

Question: is it possible to have it the other way around: the line thickness DOES changes with the viewport zoom? This just make sense, because one could quickly ‘block out’ line drawings with certain thicknesses instead of using double lines (offset command). This is possible in AutoCAD.

Thanks!

Hi Eugen -

That’s how it works in Rhino 8.

A question: will exploding such a line with thickness result in the outlines of the thick line?
As an alternative to using the offset command.
(ain’t got no Rhino 8 at hand to test…)
Thanks!

Hi Eugen -

No, it won’t.
But it’s possible there’ll be a command to extract those.
