Post-Processing of a topology optimized component

Good afternoon everyone, my classmates and I are currently working on a university project (of a course called "Surface Modeling for Mechanical Engineering Applications), related to the post-processing of a topology optimized component, in order to make it suitable for manufacturing and further simulations. Our model would be to start from a generated mesh, convert to a SubD and finally into a Nurbs Model. We’re trying to make this work into a Grasshopper environment in such a way to fully automize the process. Before converting the model from a mesh to a SubD we were trying to smooth the component by means of Laplace smoothening in the Kangaroo2 solver package, because we want only partial smoothening, in areas far from the holes to not lose details. This last part has given us some problems. We are not too confident about using Grasshopper, that’s why we are asking. Can anyone take a look at our .gh file or give us some advice?

Your file is missing the starting geometry. Make sure to internalize it and reupload for someone to take a look.

Thank you. I am aware of that, I did not upload our component, yet if we insert it, it still does not work properly.

Right - that’s why you’re asking for help, correct? Just throw it into the file and make sure it’s internalized (right-click the ‘mesh’ parameter, set the mesh, and click ‘internalise’), then reupload.

You can also upload a file with a simplified example if your object is confidential or too complex
