It’s tough to work with complicated objects when selecting them shows all edged. Is there a way to turn this off so it does not show all edges when selected.

Hi Ian - Yep, we should have some ‘non-obscuring’ selection available soon in the V8 WIP for people to try. In V7 that’s definitely still a problem. You can turn off isocurves in the object properties, which may help some.
