What if there were ‘Portal’ categories that could link to different Discourses? For example, a Portal to Ladybug tools via a category…Just a thought.

I believe that’s a grand idea. Though most would be Grasshopper sites, yes?
Well, to any discourse that makes sense. GH Add-ons or Rhino Plugins might grow to require more than just their own category here.
I think this is a very good idea. For a while I was contemplating suggesting Rhino Plugins to have a separate Discourse.
As of right now, the plugins with their own categories are few and quite understandably RMA is hesitant to allow more plugin categories which could cause a huge mess here, even with the ability to mute certain categories.
(I still don’t quite get the key by which some plugins are allowed here with almost zero traffic or interest and others are not).
At the same time the “discussion/review” section in each “app” in Food4Rhino is not nearly good enough for reviews and support. So that way we could have a plugin-only community with all the flexibility of Discourse, in one place.

There is no key. If a plugin or add-on doesn’t have a category here, it’s because the developer or community hasn’t asked for it.
If you have any suggestions for plugin categories, let us know, and we’ll add them.
Hi Luis - thanks, I added you to the PM discussion we had about this a while ago where it was suggested it is not be best idea to add too many plugin categories.
