I would have expected the command to create two new rectangular faces…

(Also, not sure why this simple example is 2.2mb… I did a purge already.)

I get the same result, after removing all the creases fill works but doesn’t seem to give a result id expect with the automatic option.

Bridge will fill the hole with no problem

Thanks for reporting, I’ve logged it to our development engineer for confirmation.
You can use the Bridge to fix this hole.
