Points Input

Hi @mathieu1 ,
I bother you with 2 questions:

  1. I’ve searched for a similar topic in the help and forum, but I didn’t find something similar. I would like to use the same Points Input component to create different boundaries. Something like when a boundary is finished, using the same button/command again to let me create a different boundary/object. I can do this if I’ll put in the definition menu a predefined number of PointsInput commands - but this will make the menu longer. As there are the options “min. point count” and “max.point count” why wouldn’t be possible an option “min. boundaries count” and “max. boundaries count” (or set of points instead of boundaries)?
  2. How can I set the initial predefined points?
    Thank you in advance!

  1. This is an interesting request, but this is not possible at the moment. This would require some careful thinking about the user experience to allow the creation of several sets of points using a single widget in Apps. Our team will consider this request and get back to you about it. In the meanwhile, you will need to use separate Points Input components for each boundary.
  2. I opened your definition and I see that you have defined a default value for the points already:

Is this not what your question is about? Please explain further what you are trying to achieve.

Hi @mathieu1 ,
At point no 2 I have used Shape Diver example but I don’t know how to assign these points!! My need is to automatically generate some points ( for example through ‘divide curve’ ) and to assign them as default points of Points Input components.
Thank you!

Hi @mathieu1
I’ve now understood how to set default points because I’ve seen ‘clear default values’ change in ‘default value’. I’ve tested this in Rhino prior to upload on Shape Diver! Thanks!
