I think can be a bug for the command poin project.

Your tolerance is way to loose for a mesh this fine. If you lower it to 0.0001mm it’ll create the projected points without creating duplicates - also you have some duplicates in the “un-projected” points (the inner ring) that you probably would want to delete. Use SelDup to find them.
