PNG is transparent in rendered mode, but turns black during rendering

I created a PNG texture with transparent background which rendered fine in previous iterations, but recently I went to render the same file and now those PNG’s render black where it should be clear.

In all display modes except for Raytrace they are viewed as clear too.

I copied and pasted that texture into a new window… still black. I uninstalled and reinstalled Rhino 8 and still black.

I ended up rendering it in Rhino 7 and it was fine.

I think it was due to an update because the problem happened on a Monday, and I usually close Rhino on Friday, which is when it usually does an update.

I can’t figure out why this happened, especially when it worked before and works fine in Rhino 7.
