Hi all Rhino Mouse Users,
please help
does anyone know whether you used to be able to pan the views by pressing and holding the middle mouse button/scroll wheel and right click to orbit or rotate the views?
for some reasons, now when I click or press on my middle mouse button/scroll wheel it acts if I pressed spacekey or right click it just give the last command I used instead of panning.
Am I trippin or was there at one point where you can do that?
I tried but could you tell which one I should pick in order to make my middle button/scroll wheel button to work as a pan instead of giving me my last used command? please
I have tried ticking those controls, yet my scroll wheel button still does the same thing which give me the last used command
Press and HOLD the wheel button.
Clicking the wheel brings up the other menus.
Any luck?
Nah, I figured it out. by setting the Macro to “_Planar”.it worked for abit but then it went back to “zoom out” command instead for no reason
It miraculously becomes a zoom out command when I pressed it. I’m frustrated
Hello- none of this makes any sense to me - Planar has nothing to do with view manipulation. Set the settings I posted above to pan on middle mouse button and you should be set. If you want to run a macro instead, 'Pan should work but the first way is probably easier with just mouse-down and drag to pan.

It also possible your mouse batteries are weak, or the mouse is wearing out.
Do you have another mouse you can try as a test?
Holding the middle button down and dragging to Pan is working fine for me.
Same setting you’ve shown but instead of pan and picking and drag, it zoom outs.
I’m losing my mind
I’ll try another mouse when I get my hands in another one. It could be the mouse then.
Hello- there is nothing in the settings you show that would lead me to expect the MMB to pan.Tcking the box for ‘manipulate view’, on the other hand, should not do exactly what you are asking.

It still somehow zoom out instead doing what it should (panning)
