Surface color always grey

Hi,

I have a problem with my surface appearance in Rhino in shaded mode. They always display in dark grey even if I change the color in the properties.
Thanks for your input on this.

Hello - try resetting the Shaded mode to defaults in Options > View > Display modes.

Hello,

Thanks for your very quick reply. I tried doing this but I still have the same problem

Hello- Please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.

Hello - I would do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the graphics drivers - both - getting the latest drivers from the nVidia and Intel websites.

Next, update Rhino to the latest, which will be 7.5 later today.

I’m having the same issue here. When i’m in shaded viewport everything gets displayed properly. But once i drag the view around, all the sufraces are grey and only the edges are diplayed in the according layer color. This happens in all views, not only in perspective. Resetting the viewport-settings didn’t change anything.
I’m using the latest rhino 7 SR update ( 7.26.23009.07001) and the latest Nvidia Studio drivers on Win11, more detailed info listed below.
Is there anything else i can try except updating rhino and graphics drivers and resetting the viewport settings to standard?

Hi Julius -

It looks like the Rhino Options -> View -> OpenGL -> Level slider has been moved to the middle of that control. With your GPU, you should be able to run Rhino with that one set to the right end.
-wim

That did the trick, thanks for the quick help!!!

i am also facing a similar issue…not sure what to do. All surfaces are appearing gray with only the edges showing respective color, in default display settings in Rhino 8

Something is wrong with your video card installation. Suggest you download the latest driver from NVidia and do a clean install to see if that fixes it. Probably also update the AMD driver.

Hi, i tried downloading latest driver from NVidia and did a clean reinstall. However that did not fix the issue.

Hi -

Please post the new (and complete!) output from the SystemInfo command.
-wim

Hi, My AMD driver was disabled in the device manager. Enabling that helped fix the issue. Thanks.
